How to Get to Mykonos Greece
Mykonos is a Greek island in the country Greece in Europe and part of the Cyclades island group. It is located in the Aegean Sea, about 200 km (120 miles) from Athens.
The easiest way to get to Mykonos Greece is by plane. Mykonos Island National Airport is a large airport in Greece. It is an international airport. In total there are 63 airports around the world that have direct flights to Mykonos, spread around 59 cities in 22 countries. There are direct flights from Athens and most of the major cities in Europe and Middle East countries. The Best Beaches of Mykonos Island
Mykonos is well-known for its beautiful soft sand beaches. Some of the most popular beaches include Paradise Beach, Super Paradise Beach, Elia Beach the largest in Europe, and Agrari Beach.
Paradise Beach
Paradise Beach is the most famous on the island and it is also the busiest. It is located about 12 km (7.5 miles) from Mykonos Town. Well-organized with sun loungers, parasols, and a beach bar. There is also a water sports center where you can try windsurfing, jet skiing, and more.
Super Paradise Beach
Super Paradise Beach is another popular beach among the gay-friendly community that is known for its parties. It is located about 14 km (8.7 miles) from Mykonos Town. The famous Jacky O’ Beach Club mostly frequented by the gay community is located here as well. This used to be the main gay beach of the island, but it’s now mixed and a large campsite has taken over. However, there’s still a large gay section on the right hand side and the party in the beach bar starts around sunset every day.
Elia Beach
It is the longest beach on the island and it is located about 20 km (12 miles) from Mykonos Town. Many celebrities, rich and famous, and VIPs choose Elia Beach for their sunbathing or swimming, as it is fully organized, not very crowded, and has everything for a relaxing day next to the sea. Facilities include a playground for kids, restaurants, cafes, sun loungers, and umbrellas. The section on the right is nudist and progressively more gay. If you continue walking, the next few coves are exclusively gay with some serious cruising among the rocks. Water sports that can be found are jet skis, water skis, and para-sailing.
Agrari Beach
Agrari Beach is a beautiful and quiet beach located about 10 km (6.2 miles) from Mykonos Town not far from Elia. There is only one restaurant and one bar there. Half of the beach is rocky making it ideal for snorkeling. Agrari Beach has a water sports school and a few sunbeds and umbrellas.
Kalafatis Beach
Kalafatis Beach is the second-largest beach of Mykonos and it is located on the south-east coast part of the island, about 22 km (13.7 miles) from Mykonos Town. It is a long sandy beach with crystal clear waters and it is ideal for windsurfing as it is always windy there and strong winds. You can find a few restaurants, bars, and cafes along the beach.
There are many other beaches on the island that are worth exploring. Some of our favorites include Agios Sostis Beach, Platis Gialos Beach, Ornos Beach, and Kalo Livadi Beach.

Visit Mykonos Town:
Located on the west coast of Mykonos island, Mykonos Town name Chora is the main town. Walk and wander the narrow streets, and admire the Venetian Cyclades architecture, white-washed houses, blue-domed churches, little shops, and art galleries. Where even the cracks in the marble floor are painted in white, and do some shopping in one of the many brands like Louis Vitton, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Celine, Jimmy Choo, Balenciaga, Etro, Balmain, Valentino, Missoni, and many others.
The town hall, or “neoclassical mansion”, is located in the center of town and it is worth a visit.
Little Venice in Mykonos Town is located seafront on the sea with beautiful colors, paintings on the walls, and lovely flowers. It is a great place to enjoy a coffee or drink while admiring the view of the Aegean Sea.
Mykonos Old Port
The old port is located north of Mykonos town Chora on the west coast and it is where the ferry boats and yachts arrive from other island hopping.

There are many great places to eat in Mykonos.
